Passage Wines 2024 Syrah

Notes from Passage:
Sourced from the north-facing parcel of the Bull Swamp vineyard in Warragul. Planted in 1981 on Baw Baw Shire's red volcanic soils, the parcel is own-rooted and dry-grown. The 2024 growing season was warmer and sunnier than average, producing thicker skins and naturally greater concentration. Wild fermented in stainless steel, extraction was approached through light pump-overs and hand punch-downs. The wine matured in French oak barriques and hogsheads for eleven months before a further four months in tank prior to bottling.
