Parley 2024 Light Breaks Dawn

New Parley wines!
Bright and lively with a beautiful red and blue fruited palate. On the nose, fruits of plum and cherry are well balanced by savoury whole-bunch characters. A primary fruit forward palate and a fine tannin profile leans this nicely into the chilled red category. Cabernet Franc was fermented as 50% wholebunch and 50% destemmed in an open-top stainless steel fermenter. Daily pump-overs took place throughout the early stages of fermentation with piegage only after 5 days on skins to maintain early-fermentation carbonic characteristics. Despite being the first fruit in the winery for 2024, the ferment was almost textbook, going dry within 12 days of picking. Following a slow press cycle, the wine was settled and aged on fine lees in seasoned French barriques and hogs heads.
