Nielluciu is the name for Sangiovese in Corsica.
Suchju means juice in Corsican. Hand harvest (low maturity - 10.9%), whole bunch, vinification in concrete tanks, 5 days carbonic maceration. Light pumping over and punching down, infusion style. Aging in tanks for about 12 months, bottled without fining or filtration. Bottled in 1 liter bottle. Only a small amount of So2 is used at bottling and appears on the label. Very delicious, juicy lighter style Corsican reds!
