Margan Breaking Ground 2023 Cabernets

Exciting wines from 3rd generation maker and grower, and all round good bloke, Ollie Margan.
Notes from Ollie - This is a Bordeaux blend presented in typically bright Hunter Valley mid weighted, fresh fruited style. Cassis and violets gently framed by chewing tannins and bright acidity. 70% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Margan Saxonvale vineyard (deep volcanic clay/loam), 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Merlot both from the Margan Ceres Hill vineyard planted on red volcanic soil. All destemmed and gently fermented over 10 days in 1T fermenters. Six month maturation in seasoned French oak puncheons before being bottled in late Spring prior to release in Autumn 2024.
