Mare Nostrum Vini 2023 Labech

Notes from the importer:
Mare Nostrum Vini is a cultural wine project dedicated to the landscapes and shared heritage of the Mediterranean. Founded by Antoine Isenbrandt and Athénaïs de Béru, the project explores historic grape varieties grown near the sea and shaped by the region’s defining climatic forces. Labech 2023 takes its name from the Labech (or Llevant), a warm easterly wind that sweeps across the Mediterranean, bringing airflow and ripening energy to the vineyards. This co-fermented blend combines Carignan’s savoury spice with the bright acidity of Picpoul, creating a wine that is both vibrant and layered. Fresh fruit and lively tension lead into a crisp, saline finish, capturing a distinctive Mediterranean character shaped by Mare Nostrum Vini’s low-intervention approach.
