Mare Nostrum Vini 2021 Tramuntana
Notes from the importer:
Mare Nostrum Vini is a cultural wine project dedicated to the landscapes and shared heritage of the Mediterranean. Founded by Antoine Isenbrandt and Athénaïs de Béru, the project explores historic grape varieties grown near the sea and shaped by the region’s defining climatic forces. Tramuntana 2021 is named after the powerful north-west wind meaning “through the mountains” in Catalan, a year-round force that keeps vineyards healthy and moderates ripening. Combined with high altitude and very old vines, it shapes a precise, structured expression of Mediterranean Carignan. Patient ageing in old oak refines the wine without overt wood influence, favouring freshness, restraint and longevity over primary fruit. Composed and linear, Tramuntana 2021 is distinctly age-worthy, expressing place, climate and time with clarity and quiet authority.
