Frédéric Cossard 2023 Bigotes

In natural wine, Fred Cossard is a very important figure.
He produces exquisite, vibrant Burgundies in both colours from his base in Saint Romain. A jovial man with a strong intellect and a super fine palate, he is a master at producing wine with very minimal intervention. This is from 40 year old vines near the village of Puligny-Montrachet, this is everything I wish for from a white Burgundy and more. In a perfect world I would be able to have a glass of this whenever I wanted, such do I love it. It is Fred's simplest white but it speaks loudly about what I enjoy most in his wine - purity, generosity, texture, balance, complexity, harmony....
