Domaine JF Debourg 2018 MMXVIII

Jean Francois has been a farmer for over 20 years, working his 40 hectares of vineyards organically, certified since 2020.
A chance encounter with Francois Ecot in 2015 changed his course, from winegrower to winemaker. Francois became his mentor and showed him the way of natural wine. Located in the Pierres Dorées region, the southern part of Beaujolais, he has a myriad of soil types including clay-limestone, limoneux, granite, alluvial and pink sand. This is 100% Gamay, a portion fermented whole bunch, followed by aging in oak foudres and barrels for about 8 months.
