Cré 2023 Chardonnay

Handpicked and whole cluster pressed.
A slow, gentle press to tank for overnight settling, before being racked to French barriques (20% new) for a 9-month élevage. Zesty citrus and grapefruit pith lead the way, wrapped in layers of green apple, nashi pear and a flicker of white peach. Wild fennel lingers in the background, adding lift and nuance. Nutty, layered and quietly complex, with a savoury undertow and a finely textured palate that carries long.
