Crasà SRC 2017 Rivaggi Rosso
Notes from the immporter...
80% Nerello Mascalese and 20% Grenache. The vineyard is set 970 metres above sea level on the northern slope of Mount Etna, Sicily. Plunged twice a day for about three weeks in open top fermenters and then transferred to concrete for 12 months. It also spend 2 months in old 700L tonneau. Shy nose when opened but crescendos into bitter herb, garrigue and bramble. Autumnal forest floor with amazing tannins that build and build. Such a lovely amaro character in this wine that will continue to improve for years to come.
