2021 Sotto la Pelle
Established in 2020, and run by husband-and-wife Francesca Gozzo and Davide Boldrin, the two-hectare vineyard is named after their daughter Flora.
The vineyard sits on a mix of calcareous and volcanic soil, and the vines date back to the early 1960s and 70s. Late harvest. Valpolicella style. 4 weeks on skins in fibreglass and stainless steel containers. Spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts, unfined, unfiltered, no added SO2. Rich red fruit, with a salty edge.
