Jean-Baptiste Semmartin was a professional fencer for 10 years before he became a vigneron.
Jean-Baptiste Semmartin aka Domaine Lajibe has made wine in Bordeaux, Collioure and Burgundy, where he was under the wing of Emmanuel Giboulot. Being a leader in Biodynamic viticulture, Giboulout provided the inspiration for Semmartin’s wines we see today. Domaine Lajibe is at the foot of the Pyrenees and home to varietals such as Gros Manseng, Petit Manseng and Petit Courbu. Les Poudingues is named after the puddingstones native to the Jurançon. When grown on these sedimentary rocks, Petit and Gros Manseng shine. 100% Biodynamic Gros Manseng for this cuvée. One that is full of tension and structure. Exceptional drinking.
