Quintessentia Amaro (700ml)

The Nonino family have devoted themselves to the art of distillation since 1897.
In 1984, Nonino set the standard with their ‘ÙE’, distilling from whole grapes to preserve each varieties unique aroma and flavour. This forms the spirit base for Nonino’s Amaro liqueur (Amaro means "bitter" in Italian). Like other classic Amaris this herbal liqueur is traditionally drunk as an after-dinner digestif. Dozens of varieties are commercially produced, the most commonly available of which are Averna, Ramazzotti and Montenegro. Nonino’s is infused with alpine herbs and tangerines, aged in barriques of Nevers, Limousin and old Sherry wood. It makes a great aperitif over ice or chilled from the fridge with a wedge of orange.
