NV La Colombiere Colombulle

A pet nat of negrette, the local variety in Fronton, southwest France.
Skilled in the art of negrette, it seems, this iteration is fun and shows some complexity. Mostly fun, though. Frisky fizz with crunch and pucker, surprising tannin ripple for a bubbley wine and yet all watermelon juice and tickle of sweet guava. Lurid pink colour, vivacious in the glass, all fresh and vital to drink. Such a great thing, these effortless, intriguing natural sparkling wines. This is a belter. Mike Bennie - The Wine Front
