2021 Apollo
Winemaker Michael Downer's family first planted grapes at their farm in the Adelaide Hills in 1998, spurring Michael to study wine and spend time exploring this passion in places such as Barolo and Great Western.
Aiming to produce wines that uniquely display a sense of place, all Murdoch Hill wines are made using wild ferments and minimal intervention approaches in the cellar. It's like you're approaching your spice rack and you forgot to seal up the cinnamon and clove packets, with cherry, red berries and liquorice notes. A superb Adelaide Hills Pinot. Elegant, complex and vibrant! Fun Fact: Like stars that litter your bedroom ceiling, this label shines it's own light! Give it some (very mild) sun and watch Apollo shine bright.
