Notes from Botanic Gordon AKA BIG BRAD.
Semillon with a touch of Riesling, all from the certified organic and biodynamic Smallfry vineyard in the Vine Vale sub-region of the Barossa Valley. Everything is done by hand, wild ferment, and zero additions. 10 days on skins, with about 250 litres basket pressed to stainless steel and rested for 7 months until bottling in October 2022. I see it as an easy drinking wine. It's a little tight when first opened, but opens up after about 20 minutes. There's a touch of texture from the time on skins, but the tannins are pretty light and smooth. The profile is fairly simple, and for me, sits in the kind of range of green apple. pear, lemon and quince. Nothing too serious, but smooth and easy drinking and goes pretty quickly once opened. Being a skin contact/orange wine, it's the kind of thing you can chill and then just leave on the table and it doesn't matter if it warms up a bit - it probably won't have the chance to warm up too much anyway.
