Fruit from our Moorialup Vineyard and Abbey Creek just down the road (managed by Castle Rock) hand picked. About 50% was sealed up in open top fermenters for three weeks carbonic maceration, with the remainder carefully destemmed and fermented as whole bunches with gentle hand plunging. Pressed to older French oak puncheons for 14 months. A seductive earthy, spicy nose with ripe cherry and a leafy note. Slippery and sexy across the tongue with marinated cherries and five spice with a mineral savoury finish.
