2021 Fever
Five varieties, six vineyards, co-fermented, lots of skin fermentation, for 60 days or so.
Gris (some on skins), gewurz (skins), chardonnay (direct press), pinot noir (saignee), savagnin (direct press). One of those hybrid orange-rose wines that is pretty much becoming its own category these days. Textural feast with ballistic freshness and a hardcore drinkability. Feels more rose than orange wine but has elements of all, light, powdery texture, a spread of berry/citrus going on, delicate herb and spice detail, saline minerally characters in the mix and a bit of floral stuff too. Juiciness is a feature, one could say too. So much easy pleasure, pretty as can be, intriguing too. Yes! Mike Bennie - The Wine Front
