Notes from Yoko and Andries AKA Brave New Wine!
Mostly Riesling (56%) with Gewürztraminer, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. All fermented on skins for varying lengths of time between two weeks and nine months. Raised on lees in ceramic eggs and older French oak before being blended with our Doppelgänger ‘mutha’ which has been kept in a semi-solera style since the first vintage 2014. Bottled with no fining filtration or additives other than a small amount of SO2. Lifted nose of orange blossom, cut lime and cardamom. The palate is fresh and clean with orange and lime balanced with crunchy moreish savoury tannin.
