2020 Worlds Apart Wines Springton Syrah
Louis' new wines are so good.
70 year old vines dry grown outside the hamlet of Springton. Hand picked and wild fermented 100% whole bunch in a tall narrow fermenter (semi-carbonic), pressed to two old barriques and one second use hogshead. Bottled unfined unfiltered. The serious one. About as early picked and whole bunchy as you’ll see from the Barossa, this might freak a few old dudes. A young wine (she will go 10-20 years easy), but infinitely drinkable now. The acidity keeps this bright and beautiful. Savoury, pure and intense.
