2020 Vino Volta Methode Ancestrale Chenin Blanc

The vision is to reinvent and reestablish connections with the wines and vineyards of Swan Valley. The wines seem to marry a creative flair with some serious technical know-how. Here’s a pet nat, an en vogue style out of Swan’s often overlooked resources. Towards the end of ferment a portion of the Chenin Blanc table wine ferment is separated for this pet nat. Creamy, bright, flavoursome style with lemony-green apple and saline character of the variety with some faint nutty-savouriness underlying. Has some bright acidity tugging through that creamier face of fizz. It’s a good example, has that funk but also the freshness and general good times gist. Nice.
