2020 Transmission Wine Co. Chardonnay



Notes from the winemakers...
Fruit sourced from Pettavel in Geelong. Fermented on skins (wild ferment) for 2 weeks until dry, basket pressed into a neutral hogshead, with a little bâtonnage for texture and to fatten (was very lean), allowed to settle and bottled directly off lees. Only 300L made. We think of this wine as the Chablis of the amber wine world. The wine is cloudy amber in colour; yet has a surprisingly delicate nose of musk, peach, grapefruit and green apple; and the palate is surprisingly delicate - dry, bright, lemon zest, grapefruit, green apple, and sea spray with a very savoury finish. Great with chicken, tofu, pizza/pasta. Perfect for chicken roasts, catching up with mates or picnics.
