Notes from the winemakers...
Organic fruit sourced from Rice’s Vineyard in Stawell. Fermented on skins (wild ferment) for 2 weeks until almost dry, basket pressed early into a neutral barrel and then bottled with a little bit of sugar left to give it some fizz. Deep blood red in colour; super pretty carbonic-like perfumed nose of raspberries, strawberries, dark red rose and aniseed; the palate is dry, and has more dark broody fruit - blackberry, black currant, plum, with a lick of aniseed and vanilla. The wine has medium tannins. An instant Aussie classic.
