2020 Sonnen Jannis Riesling

Notes from Luke - he makes the wine...
The Riesling is named for my son Jannis who was born last August and also Jannis Melsheimer whose family I worked with in the Mosel last year. Whole bunch pressed, settled all the dirty stuff over night and fermented in puncheon on all the rest. It didn’t  start malo when things started warming up in spring so I gave it some s02 and bottled it. It’s kind of grapefruity and bitter orangey and a bit phenolic.
