2020 Pouilly-Fuissé L’étoile du Berger

This small 5 hectare estate in the Mâconnais is going to make some waves.
Again an attractive platinum colour, translucent and seemingly full of energy. This is a new wine this year and what a beauty. A faint hint of reduction in the aromatics leads to a core of citrus, green apple, and again, fleurs blanches; this is very fine in style. Taught yet concentrated and perfectly proportioned it is nicely chiselled on the palate showing superbly with lovely bright saline notes tempering the fruit and fanning out the precise finish. Excellent wine.
