In attempt to show a pure expression of place these four, single vineyard, Grenache wines are all managed by Fiona Wood, harvested at similar sugar levels, fully destemmed, fermented to dry and rested in stainless tanks. They are bottled 10months later within the same week and of course made with grapes only. Alfred and Ralph's come from the same block of 900 vines. The fruit for Alfreds comes from the bottom of the slope where there's less water, smaller vines. 1997, sandy loam over ironstone. Our most spicy and beguiling Grenache.
