2020 Geyer Wine Co. Chenin Blanc

New vineyard source in Vine Vale.
Some carbonic maceration, some skin fermented for a day then pressed off. The lot combined at bottling. Organic farmed vineyard too. This one has no sulphur added. Has been a mighty fine wine in past. Lemony tang. Saline notes. Juicy texture, some faint nuttiness in the mix, creamy in a way but the core is all shattered glass acidity and briskness. Has amazing feel in the palate, moreish in its way, gets you back to the glass for next sip quickly. Savoury white wine, let’s say, and shy of full blast of orange wine zone but has some of the mode of that too. Such a good thing here. Mike Bennie - The Wine Front
