2020 Entropy Baw Baw Shire Syrah

From the organically farmed wild dog vineyard in Warragul.
The second vintage of this cuvee. This version is from both the South and North facing Syrah blocks including the Original 1981 plantings. This vintage is a bit more elegant, rounder and refined than last year's. A heap more fruit than last vintage (owing to the North facing blocks) lots of black cherry but also a load of white pepper. Smooth, integrated tannins and some background smoked meat character. Light in style owing to a cool vintage (Syrah for the Pinot drinker some would say).
