Emilie Mutombo and her partner Paolo Carbonera Giani are based in the small town of Bonastre in Catalunya, a short drive along the coast southwest from Barcelona.
Garnatxa Blanca from a vineyard just down from their house farmed by their friend Sebastian and Parrellada farmed by another friend Raphael. The Garnaxta Blanca were the first grapes to come into the cellar in the 2020 harvest, whole bunch, foot stomped for a few days then pressed and blended with some direct press Parrellada into a single barrel. Wonderful minerality and a beautiful balance of aromatics from the maceration and straight acidity from the incredible soils here in Bonastre. A white wine for food and sunshine.
