2020 Pretty Fun is 100% Pinot Gris from Mike and Margie Sparrow’s Organic Mt Torrens vineyard in the Adelaide Hills. Fermented on skins for 12 hours then pressed and bottled during primary fermentation with 14g of residual sugar. The bottles were laid down for a further 9 months to develop and allow the carbon dioxide to reach it’s full potential (and fizz) with disgorging taking place on November 3rd to remove any tartrates. Crunchy and textural with a creamy mousse on opening the 2020 Pretty Fun delivers on the peach and pear notes that are synonymous with Pinot Gris. The linear acid line caries the wine offering up great length complimentary to the phenolics and structure of the Pinot Gris skin contact. Perfect peach party wine, chill it down and drink it straight from the bottle!
