2020 Château Comme Ci, Comme Ça Merlot

The fruit is from Magpie Springs farm in Hope Valley on the southern range of the Adelaide Hills and is farmed by Steve Thomas. Surrounded by big gum trees, afternoon sea breezes come over Willunga hill straight into the vineyard which sits on sandy loam, clay & ironstone. This wine is the pressings of a 100% destemmed merlot ferment that was in a large 3000L oak fermenter. Pressed to barrel after 2 and a half days on skins. Juicy grape drank - now say it three times really quickly!
