2020 Chateau Acid Rosso
2020 was a challenging year to put it mildly.
These wines come from the Chateau's fourth harvest in Canowindra, at 400m elevation in the Central Ranges of NSW. The vineyard has been farmed with biodynamics and certified organic since planting in 1997. As usual zero adds, gravity only, ancient basket press technology.
Rosso is a new addition to the Acid range, 100% Syrah, whole bunches infused in juice for a month then basket pressed to old oak. Dark but light, blackberries, cured meat and spice, sweet and savoury.
