2020 Carmeret
Jean-Baptiste Semmartin was a professional fencer for 10 years before he became a vigneron.
Jean-Baptiste Semmartin aka Domaine Lajibe has made wine in Bordeaux, Collioure and Burgundy, where he was under the wing of Emmanuel Giboulot. Being a leader in Biodynamic viticulture, Giboulout provided the inspiration for Semmartin’s wines we see today. Domaine Lajibe is at the foot of the Pyrenees and home to varietals such as Gros Manseng, Petit Manseng and Petit Courbu. Cameret is one of the few dry wines Semmartin makes. It is a blend of biodynamic Gros Manseng, Petit Manseng, Petit Courbu and Claverie from 40+ year old vines. An extremely inviting wine, full of tension and elegance. Classic Jurançon acid, balanced with texture and aroma.
