2020 Brouilly

Alex is the son of the legendary Jean Foillard!
When you think of Beaujolais you immediately think of the name Foillard. Originally you only thought of Jean, but in the last few years Alex has been on the rise. Of course learning under the incredibly talented wing of his father, Alex knows a few things about Gamay. 2020 was his 5th solo vintage and his wines keep getting better and better. His Brouilly comes from La Folie' (Madness), a steep vineyard just above Reverdon. Soft, juicy fruit and spices flow through this wine, that only deepens the more it's open. Minerality and energy topped off with a gentle tannin. A scoop boysenberry ripple ice cream we can’t get enough of.
