2020 Boaz Pinot Noir
From Mount Compass and Adelaide Hills, from Lisanne van Son, the Belgian winemaker in Loire who made pals in the Adelaide Hills with the natural wine set.
Blended and bottled by her mates at Borachio. Rich, strawberry and sweet herb scents. Something a little alpine in there. Slurpy texture, very transparent, very natural feeling with its loose knit, tight coil of acidity, savoury elements. Not profound but a really delicious feel to this; almost like kriek or something. It doesn’t feel inherently ‘Aussie pinot noir’ but does have such a beautiful, fresh, vibrant and brambly feel. Refreshing, lighter red. Yum. Mike Bennie - The Wine Front
