This is the brainchild of Louis Broderick from Basket Range Wine and Severine Perru, wine director of The Ten Bells in NY.
While they were working a very boozy harvest in the Jura together, they had the opportunity to make their first wine in this emblematic region after a chance encounter with some unicorn fruit (thanks Tony). Didn’t need more to fire the sparks of the project! This is dry, sparkling orange Piquette. 100% Sauvignon blanc, 5% Alc/Vol. 2 days maceration of water and marc. Juice bottled on the spot to keep the fun bubbles. Clear glass, crowned sealed. Piquette is not wine and should be consumed at once. Delicious for a skinny low alcohol mimosa or as it is.
