2020 Ben Haines White

Ben has been making single-vineyard wines under his own name since 2003, while working for a number of Victorian wineries.
Now based in the Yarra Valley, Ben produces wines from vineyards across Victoria, with a focus on cool-climate regions, and sustainable minimal-intervention grape growing. With the move to the Yarra Valley, and 100% focus on his own wines, Ben offers a broad range of wines that are a true reflection of time and place. The preservation of place from the vine to the wine requires a very gentle, sensitive and confident touch. This level of purity calls for the best natural ingredients possible; quality grapes from cool, expressive places that will largely speak for themselves given the opportunity. This wine is 75% Sauvignon Blanc on skins, 15% Chardonnay and 10% Viognier, all fermented naturally and left in barrel individually before being bottles unfiltered with minimal sulphites.
