2020 Alkina Kin Semillon

This wine sees a portion fermented on skins in qvevri.
Squeaky and gummy textured white of medium weight, some intensity, nashi pear and a little Clag glue savouriness in there. Wheaty, perhaps. Has ok length and persistence, posits to a drinker something about non-primary fruitiness and a wine focussing on texture, diffuse in a way too with freshness to finish missing. Decent drinking, perhaps missing a little get up and go – I’d drink a glass, let’s say. Mike Bennie - The Wine Front
