2019 Romuald Valot Chenas

Incredible and rare Beaujolais.
Romuald Valot and only bought his vineyard and moved to the Beaujolais 5 years ago. Prior to that he worked with his Father's estate, and a few other wineries in Burgundy, where he was born and raised. He farms his land without systemic chemicals and with a plough and winch to turn the soil - and yes he has a horse! In the winery it is very basic too, reliant on the tacit knowledge of generations of experience and observation. This combined with great terroir combine to produce superb wine. This technique is matched through all the wines, the only difference being vineyard site.
