2019 Little Reddie Malmsbury Chardonnay

No Added Preservatives

Malmsbury sounds like a posh biscuit company or a brand of English porcelain for figurines.
Macedon Ranges. Fancy winemaking applied to a site at 400-or-so metres above sea level. No additions, no sulphur. Gorgeous stuff. Lots of soft, wide texture yet slate n stone minerality courses through and leaves a wake of pucker and chew. Scents of ginger lemon tea, manzanilla sherry, ripe apples, with flavours not far off that. Feels very forward and opulent but there’s a sparkle of cutting acidity that does the trick. I love, love drinking this. A charismatic, Jura-esque expression, let’s say. Mike Bennie - The Wine Front
