2019 Le Timbre LateNightTales

Soaked on skins and then left in barrel to hang on lees for its life pre bottling. Le Timbre is making great wines. Zero additives. It’s rich and hedonistic but has a core of scintillating acidity. Think honey, ginger biscuits, cinnamon spice, even a kind of feel of a great Margarita in here, all limey and salty. Exceptional length of flavour, character-filled and exotic though stacked with the kind of complexity and sense of pedigree that comes from the greatest riesling sites anywhere. Savoury riesling. Beautiful, mouth-watering salinity to finish. So delicious, so moreish, so much going on. Wonderful expression here. Mike Bennie - The Wine Front
