2019 LattaVINO Dextrous Pinot Gris
Two weeks on skins and no added SO2.
It’s russet red in colour then distinctly tangy, like a sour cherry and ginger kombucha, and intense in that way, and therefore perhaps not for everyone. I drink quite a bit of kombucha though, and find it refreshing, and it also makes me pull interesting faces, in the same way my son’s insane extreme Warhead lollies do. And grappa makes me stamp my feet like a skittish horse, as an aside. Anyway, it’s musky and spicy, brown pear skins, floral, with a chamois-like texture, and a tart strawberry finish.
