2019 JC's Own Bluebird Grenache
From 70-year-old bush vines in Barmera, in the Riverland.
Ancient red sands over deep iron rich red clays. Hand harvested, 100% destemmed with the whole berries tipped into an open fermenter. Plunged over 12 days then fermented with wild yeasts. The final ferment was in aged 500L puncheons on heavy lees to encourage slight reductive notes. No fining or filtration. So juicy.
