2019 Hofgut Falkenstein Krettnacher Altenberg Riesling Spätlese Trocken

This comes from 50-year-old vines in the Enkers sector of the vineyard.
It offers a gorgeous even if still slightly reduced nose made of green apple, vineyard peach, grapefruit, mirabelle, red berried fruits, and wet stone. The wine is beautifully intense on the palate despite only having a low 11.5% alcohol, and leaves a stunning feel of fruits and minerals in the racy and laser-sharp finish. This is a gorgeous and beautifully light-footed dry Saar Riesling which only needs a few years to smoothen its edges.
