2019 Hervé Villemade Sauvignon Blanc
Herve Villemade does great things with Sauvignon Blanc and this wine is no exception!
It has intriguing white pear and other fruit characteristics without them being dominant. The wine was matured in steel tanks and fibreglass tanks for an extended period before being bottled in late February 2020. It is classified as a Vin de France because the Cheverny appellation requires that white wines are blends of Sauvignon Blanc and either Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc or Menu Pineau, hence this one does not meet the appellation rules. It is designed to be drunk young!
