A family affair in Friuli – over three generations.
This is moscato giallo istriano here. Traditional 36 to 48 hours of skin fermentation before long maturation in old, large format barrels. Highly perfumed, lots of floral things, stone fruit, some dried apricot and a whiff of nuts/granola. Juicy, juice box vibe in the palate but with firm chalky tannins drawing the wine long and to a fine point. Has freshness in spades but loads of texture, fruitiness, generosity.
