2019 Forlorn Hope Queen Of The Sierra Estate Rosé

A blend of zinfandel, grenache and tempranillo in a sexy alliance.
From Forlorn Hope, from the (Matt) Rorick Heritage Vineyard in Calaveras County, Sierra Foothills, California. And some of the greatest humans in wine in the USA. And Australia when they make wine in the Barossa in the off season. Matt supports Port Power, which is ok too. Watermelon juice! Yum. Crisp texture, vibrant, squeaky feel to the wine. It has that incredible, plugged-into-electrical-socket neon pink colour too. I love that. Good web of tannins making things tight and puckering to close. Light spice through the wine, the vibe of rose hip tea. I dunno, it’s just so damn delicious, so drinkable, so good. Mike Bennie - The Wine Front
