2019 Verde

The first 100% vinifera wine from Al Fiore.
The 2019 vintage was a difficult year with continuous rain and low temperatures. The cabernet sauvignon was not fully ripe so Meguro san shifted tact to a rosé instead. Half the Cab was straight press the other 3 days skin contact. It then spent 8 months in amphora before being aged two years in bottle. A light body rosé, with notes of watermelon, strawberry with a zippy acid line. Again like most Japanese wines, the wine is extremely delicate and umami driven.
