2019 Empire Of Dirt Cabernet Sauvignon

A frisky colt, here.
Bright perfume of violets and cassis, a touch of sour cherry, whiff of ferrous savouriness. The palate is mad angles, crisp and juicy at once, zigs and zags on a metal triangle hit of resonating sour-red-berry-fruit-acidity. There’s licks of brambles and herb, a fine, silty carpet of tannin finishes the wine. It slurps well as a young, vivacious red, but I reckon there’s more of the wine to come. I really, really liked the personality here. Nouveau cabernet with detail and wild personality. Fresh approach. Mike Bennie - The Wine Front
