2019 Colle Florido L'Eva

100% Trebbiano.
The name comes from Andrea and Daniela’s newborn daughter. First vintage, the Trebbiano grapes come from a 40 years old vineyard near the town of Montesilvano, with a heavy sandy component in the soil. Grapes have been picked late in September and less than 600 bottles were made out of the 2 barriques. As per ‘Il Postino’ grapes are de-stemmed by hand, basket press and fermented and aged in barriques. Released in spring with total SO2 below 20ppm. Ripe stone fruits. Compared to Il Postino, this wine shows more the variety. Fattier and richer nose. Palate shows a touch of oxidative character mix with millefiori honey. Long and persistent in the palate. A wine to sip and enjoy slowly.
